Medicare Plans
Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plan (MAPD) and Medicare Advantage Plan (MA)
A MAPD plan, also called Medicare Part C, offers all the benefits of Original Medicare Part A, Part B and includes Part D coverage. A MAPD plan may also include benefits like routine dental, and vision care, hearing, fitness, wellness services or a nurse helpline. A MAPD plan might be a good choice if you would like coverage beyond Original Medicare. Most MA plans include similar benefits as a MAPD plan but with No Part D prescription drug coverage.
Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan
A Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan helps pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicare does not cover such as co-payments, coinsurance, and deductibles. You must have Original Medicare Part A and Part B to be eligible to enroll in a supplement plan. These types of plans do not include prescription drug coverage which means you will have to obtain a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (Part D).

Supplements do not cover long-term care, vision, dental, hearing aids, eyeglasses or private duty nursing.
Prescription Drug Plan (PDP)
Medicare offers prescription drug coverage to everyone with Original Medicare, this is known as Part D. It is important to consider enrolling in a Medicare
PDP when you first become eligible. This may help you avoid a late enrollment penalty, unless you have other creditable coverage, or you get Extra Help.
Dental and Vision Plan
Because Original Medicare does not cover routine dental and vision exams. An individual dental and/or vision plan can help cover these services and minimize your out of pocket costs.
